Foundation Charter Oak Especiales is a medium to full-bodied release offered in two wrapper options: Connecticut Shade and Connecticut Broadleaf. Both expressions feature a Jalapa Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers from Esteli and Jalapa, delivering a balanced profile shaped by regional character and careful construction.
Produced in two soft box-pressed 5 1/2 x 48 vitolas, Pegnataro in Connecticut Shade and Pasquale in Connecticut Broadleaf, the line reflects both personal and historical significance for founder Nick Melillo. The name pays tribute to the historic Charter Oak of Connecticut, Melillo?s home state, as well as to his grandfathers and the decades of growth behind Foundation Cigars.
Handcrafted at the TABSA factory in Nicaragua, each cigar is presented in wooden boxes of 12 featuring the carved Charter Oak design. While part of regular production, output is limited to 6,000 boxes per quarter.
